Litigation Legal Assistant

Project AssistantDinsmore is seeking a Project Assistant at our Miami, FL location. The Project Assistant will be joining the Litigation Department and will be responsible for the successful organization, tracking and maintenance of various projects within the department with a focus on billing and subpoena processing.ResponsibilitiesReceive and process subpoena requests from attorneys or court officialsPrepare, track and manage subpoenasCoordinate with process servers or law enforcement officers responsible for serving subpoenasAssist attorneys and secretaries with billing inquiriesAddress internal and external inquires in connection with billed and unbilled totals, payment status and matter historyProcess narrative edits and time and cost adjustments on invoicesAssist the department with various projects, hand deliveries, and miscellaneous requestsOther duties as assignedRequirementsTwo years of administrative experience preferredPrior experience with the subpoena preparation process, preferredKnowledge of federal and state rules of civil procedure preferredWorking knowledge of accounting functions preferredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to maintain and manage databases and create reportsHighly developed communication skillsSelf-starter and comfortable working in a fast-paced team/collaborative environment to problem-solve and implement process improvementsFlexible and adaptive to a dynamic work environmentEqual Opportunity Employer
