IT Support Technician

Technology Support TechnicianFull-time 12-month position available in the Spring-Ford Area School District. The Technology Support Technician is the primary point of contact for district personnel and students seeking technical support. The technician is responsible for answering calls and email messages directed to the Technology Support Center and providing remote and in-person support, training, and assistance to district stakeholders. The Technology Support Technician works as part of the Technology Operations and Support Team to provide technology related services to the district. The work is performed under the guidance of the Manager of Technology Operations and supervision of the Director of Technology, with assistance provided by district technology subject matter experts.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide first-level technology support for district personnel and students in a friendly and professional mannerPerform troubleshooting and research toward the resolution of technology related problemsConfigure technology equipment as directed to support instruction and proper operation of end-user workstations, print devices and networking equipmentFacilitate the deployment of technology equipment to district personnelAssist with testing software and hardwareProvide on-site installation, support and troubleshooting at all district buildingsPerform minor maintenance and repair to technology equipmentMaintain and order computer and printer supplies for designated buildingsMove technology equipment during the school year and over the summer for summer initiativesSupport staff development and training on new technologyCreate and update Incidents & Service Requests in the District's support tracking systemEscalate unresolved problems to technical subject matter experts and/or supervisorAssist with maintaining District equipment inventory dataProvide your own transportation for travel between district buildings throughout the work day, including moving small amounts of equipmentPerform any other job-related duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Technology or their designee.Position Hours: 8 AM - 4 PM, Monday - Friday. 12 months (260-262 days), 7.5 hours/dayPositions Available: 2 positions Available: As soon as possible.
