Business System Analyst

Job Summary


1. Proactively analyzes business and user needs and identifies, evaluates, and develops complex information systems to meet business requirements. Provides insight on the business implications of technology systems.


2. Provides senior level technical consulting services to internal business groups on process improvement projects designed to improve their business results. Formulates and defines the systems scope and objectives, based on user needs and industry requirements.


3. Utilizes deep understanding of technological capabilities and business needs to direct process improvement projects for internal business groups, aiming to improve key business results. Leads the design and testing of new or enhanced applications that align to the overall business technology strategy.


4. Leads the implementation of business systems and software. Creates blueprint capabilities for software, middleware, and hardware deliverables. Analyzes, defines, and documents existing systems logic challenges, and makes revisions to address business issues.


5. Monitors user experiences and feedback on the use of business applications, and makes enhancements to system productivity, as needed. Leads the collection, documentation, and maintenance of functional requirements and modeling.


6. Guides and advises less experienced crew.


7. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
