Essential Functions Track and analyze proposed legislation and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels. Evaluate the impact of public policy changes on operations, finances, and strategic initiatives. Draft policy briefs, position statements, and regulatory comment letters. Develop and maintain relationships with elected officials, legislative staff, agency personnel, and healthcare associations. Coordinate leadership participation in advocacy efforts, including legislative meetings, hearings, and events. Collaborate with legal, compliance, finance, and clinical departments to assess policy implications. Build alliances with community organizations, peer organizations, and advocacy groups to support common goals. Organize site visits, tours, and public affairs events for policymakers and partners. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree or Juris Doctor Law preferred. Experience At least 3-5 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, legislative advocacy, or related area required, but most preferably in a healthcare setting Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Knowledge of healthcare systems, hospital operations, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., state agencies, CMS, HHS, ACA, Medicaid/Medicare). Strong political acumen and established relationships with key government stakeholders. Excellent research, writing, and presentation skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
