Field Service Engineer, Medical Devices

Salary: $49,608 - 84,344 per year Requirements:

• We require at least 1 year of experience paired with an associate degree or technical diploma in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a closely related technical discipline, or an equivalent blend of education, training, and relevant experience.
• Acceptable equivalent pathways include a high school diploma or GED plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant field service, technical, or biomedical equipment experience, completion of BMET certification or formal technical/military training plus at least 1 year of hands-on experience, or a bachelors degree in a related field with applicable technical experience.
• We require at least 1 year of experience in a role that involved travel to customer sites or remote/field locations.
• We need a strong grasp of electronic systems, including analog and digital circuitry.
• We require proven ability to troubleshoot and service complex technical or medical equipment.
• We expect excellent verbal and written communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
• We require the ability to travel approximately 100% of the time, sometimes on short notice.
• We need someone who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate with minimal supervision.
• A valid drivers license, clean driving record, and access to a reliable service vehicle that meets our insurance requirements are required.
• Preferred qualifications include prior field service, biomedical, or military technical experience.
• Experience in hospital or ambulatory surgery settings is preferred.
• Background in electrophysiology, cath lab, or imaging technologies is preferred for our cardiovascular business unit.
• Certification or coursework in Laser Technology, Electronics, or Biomedical Engineering is preferred.
• Strong proficiency with business systems and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

• We provide on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair for medical systems and equipment.
• We train and educate medical staff on proper equipment use, safety practices, and basic troubleshooting.
• We deliver technical support for escalations, customer concerns, and warranty-related inquiries.
• We manage routine and urgent service requests within our assigned territory.
• We document service activities, complaint details, and system updates accurately using our internal tools.
• We follow standard operating procedures, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• We contribute to projects, event support, and other cross-functional tasks as business needs require.
• We maintain clear communication with internal teams, customers, and leadership regarding service priorities and ongoing activities.
