Job Summary We're seeking a Jr. Graphic Designer to support our Marketing team in bringing La La Land's visual brand to life across all channels. This is a multidisciplinary role that moves fluidly between print, digital, retail design, and brand applications, gaining exposure to the full spectrum of design work while building craft. You'll work on both strategic campaigns and the essential day-to-day operations that keep our brand cohesive across 30+ locations, collaborating closely with our Sr. Graphic Designer, Marketing team, Operations, and store teams to translate ideas into compelling visual solutions. Duties and Responsibilities Support design across digital, print, merchandise, and retail brand experiences, translating ideas thoughtfully across all mediums Develop design assets for integrated campaigns, seasonal initiatives, and brand collaborations under creative direction Design and support packaging, merchandise, labels, and branded products with guidance on how they fit into the larger brand system Create digital assets and graphics for social media, email, web, and other digital channels Design printed and retail brand expressions including cafe signage, menus, store graphics, window decals, wayfinding, retail displays, and marketing collateral Translate creative concepts across scale and context, from a social graphic to a pastry label, package, or cafe window, with direction and feedback Create mockups and prototypes to explore and refine design concepts before moving to production Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Operations, and Cafe teams, to understand project briefs and develop solutions Present design work clearly to the Sr. Graphic Designer and Marketing partners, explaining your thinking and incorporating feedback Manage design projects through revision, production, and delivery while maintaining attention to detail Handle ad hoc requests and maintenance work, such as menu updates, signage refreshes, and location-specific collateral, that keep La La Land running smoothly across all stores Partner with vendors and production teams to understand materials, printing techniques, and fabrication options Continuously learn and contribute ideas for new design approaches and creative possibilities Knowledge/Skills/Abilities A brand chameleon who confidently understands brand nuance and can produce intuitive assets in an adaptive manner Energized by variety and comfortable moving between mediums and project types Organized and proactive, able to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities Flexible and quick to respond to feedback, seeing constraints as creative opportunities Collaborative and excited to learn from the Sr. Graphic Designer and Marketing team Curious about design, culture, hospitality, food, and creating experiences Detail-oriented and committed to craft, even in quick-turnaround work A clear communicator who can articulate design decisions and take direction well Comfortable with ambiguity; knows when to ask questions and when to explore independently Requirements 1-2 years of professional design experience (agency, in-house, freelance, or similar environments) A portfolio demonstrating versatility across multiple mediums, ideally including illustration, digital, print, and retail/store design Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); experience with Figma is a plus Strong foundational understanding of typography, composition, hierarchy, and visual communication Experience preparing files for print production and understanding print production basics Familiarity with digital design for social media, email, or web platforms A solid understanding of brand systems and how individual designs fit into a larger whole Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Ability to work with feedback and iterate quickly Enthusiasm for learning new tools, techniques, and design approaches Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand at a computer workstation for extended periods Ability to work in a fast-paced environment spanning both office and retail settings Occasional local travel to cafe locations for signage, photography, or installation needs Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (e.g., for retail displays, signage, or event materials) Additional Information La La Land offers competitive salaries, bonuses, medical/dental/vision insurance, prescription drug coverage, 401(k) plan (after 12 months of employment), sick pay, PTO and holiday pay, annual food & beverage allowance (prorated for hire date), and company discounts of 30%.
