Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients via standardized assessments and hands-on observation.
• Create customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on language, voice, fluency, and safe swallowing practices.
• Engage in multidisciplinary teamwork with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to devise integrated care plans.
• Facilitate educational opportunities for patients and their families to bolster progress outside therapy hours.
• Participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions on occasion to guarantee smooth continuity of care during treatment.
• Ensure all documentation is timely, accurate, and compliant with local, state, and national regulations.
• Remain informed and proactive in your professional development through continued education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology obtained from an accredited university.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified yet.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days post-employment.
