It focuses on providing attentive, consistent care that promotes safety and well-being.As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will perform the following duties:Nursing Care: Implement nursing care plans, check vital signs, administer medications, and perform treatmentsAssessment Duties: Observe inmates and report physical and emotional behaviorsMedication Management: Prepare and administer medications ordered by the physician and record all treatmentsTherapeutic Support: Carry out therapeutic treatments prescribed for inmatesInfection Control: Follow all required infection control proceduresDaily Living Assistance: Assist inmates with daily living activities and hygiene to ensure basic physical care needs are metInterested in learning more? Additional details regarding the duties of this position may be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 40 hour work week.The Department of Corrections is staffed by three (3) work shifts that cover the facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Work hours to be determined.1st shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM2nd shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM3rd shift: 10:00 PM to 6:30 AMThis position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.Please Note: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $68,914.00 (before taxes).You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
