Job Summary

The Setup Technician is responsible for setting up and dismantling machines per dispatch list and defined controlled processes.

• Perform daily setups, startups, shut downs, pulls and end of run, line clearance of machines, related equipment and materials
• Remove, clean, document, store tooling, and install per process
• Identify and communicate gaps within Setup Instructions, Cycle Sheets, Work Instructions and other processes
• Partner with Quality and or Engineering to maintain quality and improve efficiency or processes
• Monitor presses and alarms to troubleshoot and course correct production processes that are not meeting output expectations
• Maintains an organized work area (5S) to include workstations, equipment, walkways, etc
• Reads and complies with work instructions, set up sheets, and checklists
• Back up for Material Handler
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education, Skills, and/or Experience Required

Demonstrated processing or mechanical experience Preferred

High School diploma/GED Preferred

Minimum of one (1) year in a manufacturing environment

Efficient in Microsoft Suite products including Outlook, Ward

Ability to do basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions and decimals)

Able to become familiar with the many types of resins

Ability to operate a forklift and overhead cranes

Ability to promote and maintain a safe work environment

Able to use measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, dial Indicators

Blue print reading

Mechanically inclined

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, pushing-pulling, and reaching throughout the entire shift.
• Manual dexterity or fine motor skills
