Director of Accounting

This role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. Responsibilities Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end close. Manage preparation of timely and accurate financial statements and supporting schedules. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies. Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries. Support audits, tax filings, and other regulatory reporting requirements. Evaluate existing accounting systems, controls, and procedures; recommend and implement improvements. Partner with leadership to analyze financial performance and support decision-making. Serve as a key liaison with external auditors, banks, and other partners. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred). 8-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years managing accounting functions Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
