Manager - Profitability

As a Manager - Profitability (Regional Sales Operations) you will be responsible to grow sales and profitability through data analytics, cross functional partnerships, customer & supplier relationships, coaching, and performance management practices. In this role, you will partner with senior managers to build pricing strategies and improve capabilities that respond to the marketplace and support profitable growth. In joining, you will help with customer and supplier portfolio profitability and optimization, margin risk mitigation, and capability building across the organization. You will be the engine behind regional execution, supplier engagement, and process improvement. You’ll work closely with sales leadership and cross-functional partners to streamline operations, enable field teams, and help drive increased revenue and margin improvement in one of Wesco’s fastest-growing divisions.This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, field-facing environments and is passionate about turning strategy into action.ResponsibilitiesLead execution of regional sales operations and process improvement efforts, enabling greater efficiency and consistency across teams.Drive operational initiatives related to inventory management, order workflows, open order reduction, and SIOP alignment.Partner across functions - including Finance, AP/AR, Inventory, and Sales Enablement - to support cross-functional alignment and execution.Champion adoption of Wesco’s selling tools and platforms and provide field guidance where needed.Support field training, sales coaching, and tool utilization by providing data insights and KPI tracking support to sales leaders.Identify and implement process improvements and support margin enhancement initiatives, including collaboration on SPA reviews and lost sales analysis.Own reporting and provide actionable insights to guide local and regional decision-making. Analyze underlying market trends, price trends, and customer behaviors to inform the pricing strategyIdentify opportunities for efficiency, growth, and profitability across key market segmentsPartner across business functions to review current processes and systems to drive improvements that directly impact sales and profitabilityProvide hands-on support and recommendations to promote profitability and efficiency through sales analysis, inventory management, and optimization of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), Labor and OpexMeasure / monitor business performance using key performance indicatorsImproves performance by evaluating processes and proposing resourceful and thorough approaches to improve bottom-line results in all areas of businessQualificationsBachelor’s degree required.5-7 years of relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceApply business acumen to write and understand simple financial calculations.Ability to use analytical thinking to summarize and communicate to key decision-makers.Excellent process development and enhancement skills.Ability to be adaptable with a solid understanding of modern technology.Ability to work effectively with other functional areas and understand the operational and commercial issues relevant to achieving superior resultsExcellent interpersonal and people management skills, client-focused with tenacity to resolve issues and conflictsCreative & Innovative thinkingWork effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situationsSuperior problem identification and solving skills with ability to communicate effectively with executive managementAbility to influence stakeholders and cross functional teamsInitiate open and candid coaching conversations at all levelsMove easily between big picture thinking and managing relevant detailDetail oriented and well organized; ensures accuracy and qualityProficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint#LI-SG1This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements. For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
