Medical Assistant PositionWe are hiring a Medical Assistant to support our North Atlanta Dermatology office in Duluth, GA. In this role, you'll work closely with providers to support patient care, assist with in-office procedures, and help maintain a smooth and efficient clinic flow.Schedule: Monday - ThursdayHours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMMay be asked to travel to our Suwanee clinic as-needed (mileage reimbursement provided)With over 50 years of experience, Anne Arundel Dermatology is a leader in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Our team stays current with new treatments, technologies, and best practices in dermatology.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare patients for exams, including intake and documentationRecord vital signs and assist with patient flow throughout the daySet up and break down procedure rooms, trays, and equipmentAssist providers during dermatologic procedures, including biopsies and excisionsHandle and route lab/pathology specimens based on insurance requirementsRespond to patient questions in person and over the phoneManage clinical task lists, nurse line messages, and follow-upsMaintain and sterilize instruments; track maintenance and calibration logsMonitor and restock medical supplies; remove expired inventorySupport accurate EMR documentation and scribing as neededAssist with administration of local anestheticsEnsure timely handling of calls, faxes, and internal communicationsFollow all HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control guidelinesPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsExperience obtaining vitals and preparing patients for visitsFamiliarity with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standardsAbility to triage patient concerns effectivelyKnowledge of medical terminology, CPT, and ICD-10 codingComfortable using EMR systems and standard office equipmentStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environmentTeam-oriented with a professional and patient-focused approachWillingness to travel to nearby offices if neededEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED requiredCompletion of a Medical Assistant, CNA program, or relevant bachelor's degree preferred1–2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting preferredDermatology experience is a plusPhysical RequirementsProlonged standing and walkingFrequent bending, reaching, and lifting (up to 30 lbs)Use of hands and manual dexterity for clinical tasksExposure to medical supplies, sharps, and clinical environmentsBenefits (30+ hours/week)Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (effective first of the month after start)Short-term and long-term disability coverageLife insurance and voluntary supplemental benefitsPaid time off and holidaysRetirement savings planEmployee discounts on cosmetic services and products
