Growing together. Primary Responsibilities Collaboration with the Associate Director and Chief of Ear, Nose and Throat, responsible for the overall performance of audiology practices and staff. Assures that standards for access, service, patient and referring clinicians' satisfaction are met, and in accordance with both local practice and company objectives In collaboration with the Chief of Ear, Nose and Throat, and Associate Director develops and implements clinical protocols, procedures, schedules, and techniques in accordance with the clinical needs and expectations of the audiology practice throughout the company Oversees the hearing aid dispensing program at seven audiological practices, including staffing, administrative duties, and management of manufacturer accounts. Assures quality of services and develops and implements clinical dispensing protocols Develops and maintains clinical quality assurance systems and process in accordance with established standards. Maintains department policy and procedure manuals Collects and/or analyzes data to assess ongoing performance against objectives in the areas of service, access, patient satisfaction, cost, and outside utilization management Has direct involvement in patient concerns or complaints that involve the delivery of audiology services. Participates in the development of systems and procedures to correct problems relating to systems failures Develops and implements new audiology programs, operational procedures, and systems in accordance with established guidelines. Provides feedback to management on status of implementation process Investigates and resolves problems related to clinical/non-clinical staff interface Chairs audiology staff meetings and attends monthly meetings with Chief of Ear, Nose and Throat to ensure quality of services, and to develop and achieve departmental goals In collaboration with the Chief of Ear, Nose and Throat and Associate Director, monitors and manages audiology department operating and capital budgets for department, ensuring that operations are managed within established guidelines. Develops and implements cost saving measures as appropriate. Maximizes use of organizational resources Collaborates with Associate Director in annual budget development process, including capital requests and procurement of new equipment Monitors equipment function, schedules and maintains current calibration for all diagnostic equipment Oversees interviewing, hiring, and provision of clinical training to new audiology staff Provides direct clinical care Monitors inventory and procurement systems. Works Associate Director to secure supplies and equipment necessary to operations Represents the department(s) at meetings and special task forces, as required Performs other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities Supervises medium/large group of clinical/non-clinical exempt and nonexempt staff, including subordinate supervisors and managers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities within areas of responsibility in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Provides direction and support to staff to assure departmental effectiveness and efficiency. Responsibilities include interviewing, selecting, orienting, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; reviewing personnel actions of subordinates and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Required Qualifications Master's degree or equivalent in audiology State of Massachusetts license in audiology Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty 3+ years of patient experience Comprehensive knowledge of management and supervisory principles, practices, and techniques, often acquired training and work experience Proven excellent communication skills, both written and oral and must also display well-developed interpersonal skills to work successfully with all levels of management, staff, and patients Ability to use computerized system, including keyboard documentation, throughout the day Driver's License and access to reliable transportation Preferred Qualification American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91, to $, annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
