Environmental Planner/Scientist

We seek an enthusiastic Environmental Planner / Scientist with a minimum of 5 years of experience to work in our Bridgewater, NJ office. You will support and contribute to environmental services for a variety of assignments, with a primary focus on transportation related projects. You will participate in preparing NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act) and EO215 (Executive Order No. 215) environmental documents, including associated technical and environmental studies for transportation projects within NJ. For more information, visit: Responsibilities:Conduct and support field and desktop data collection efforts for environmental assessmentsSupport staff, clients, and regulatory personnel on projectsPrepare environmental reports and permit applicationsDevelop and prepare regulatory permit applications (NJDEP, USACE, NJSCD SESC, etc.)Participate in project meetings and field visitsProvide environmental technical support across interdisciplinary project teamsQualifications:B.S. in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or an earth science-related field, M.S. is a plus5+ years of industry experience with demonstrated work on NEPA, EO215, and/or NJDEP permittingExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise technical reports and correspondenceExperience and proficiency in developing regulatory permit applicationsand environmental documentationStrongly preferred: Experience with wetlands delineation, threatened and endangered (T&E) species surveys/habitat assessments, or related natural resources technical studiesExperience with GIS and environmental data management is a plusMicroStation and/or AutoCAD experience is a plusAbility to manage tasks, maintain client relationships, and contribute to multidisciplinary projects and teamsProfessional Wetland Scientist (PWS) or other relevant license/certification is a plusRequirementsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final considerationRead, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English languageBasic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team membersAble to wear GPI required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working GPI offers excellent benefits, including a 401(k) plan, ESOP, medical/dental/vision plans, paid time off, and more.
