Position Overview

Work Environment

This position is onsite in a well-equipped hospital facility that emphasizes collaborative healthcare delivery. Our environment is both fast-paced and nurturing, designed to support our patients' rehabilitation journeys. Working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to better meet patient needs or adapt to clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the licensed Physical Therapist in executing detailed treatment plans which may include therapeutic exercises, modalities, and patient education.
• Conduct routine treatment procedures including gait training, exercise regimens, and manual therapy techniques while adhering to established protocols.
• Regularly observe and document patients' conditions, treatment responses, and progress, ensuring clear communication with the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Report any changes, concerns, or findings regarding patient conditions to the supervising therapist promptly to facilitate timely care adjustments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and clinical requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on adult orthopedic patients and those experiencing chronic pain, empowering them to manage their conditions effectively. Under your care, patients will receive personalized interventions aimed at restoring mobility and alleviating discomfort. Your hands-on approach will greatly impact their recovery journeys and overall health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program is required.
• Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy Assistant license for New Jersey or the ability to obtain one.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with patients and team members.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in a clinical setting, preferably within a hospital or rehabilitation facility.
• Hands-on experience with orthopedic techniques and therapeutic modalities is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
