Lead Maintenance Mechanic

Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Lead Maintenance Mechanic for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Lawrence, MA!


Pay rate range is $32-49/hr. (based on experience). This is a 1st shift position!


Essential Functions:
-Perform and manage preventative maintenance program to ensure all packaging equipment remains in “as new” condition, includes motors, pneumatic systems, and conveyor systems
-Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
-Troubleshoots and repairs manufacturing and packaging line equipment and parts by using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools, examining form and texture of parts.
-Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
-Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish tasks.
-Continuously evaluates and guides maintenance team and practices to eliminate non-productive activities and implement productivity enhancements.


Accountabilities:
-Leads production mechanics and provides technical support for all shifts.
-Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
-Fabricates repair parts by using approved machine shop instrumentation and equipment per QA-021.
-Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
-Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Required:
-High School diploma or equivalent from accredited technical school or applicable skilled trades school.
-5+ years’ experience in an industrial/manufacturing maintenance/operation environment.
-Must possess a valid driver’s license for traveling between facilities.
-Able to lift and or move up to 50 pounds frequently.


Preferred:
-Experience in industrial electrical systems, and pneumatic controls.
-Comprehensive knowledge of PLC’s and ability to work with proprietary computer base machine controls.
-Skilled with Microsoft Office.
-GMP/GLP Experience.
-Knowledge of OSHA Safety Rules.
-Possesses basic machine shop skills.
