Role Description This is a full‑time or part‑time, on‑site Ultrasound Technologist role located in Chesapeake, VA. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including general, vascular, and other studies as ordered by clinicians, following established protocols and safety standards. Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, operating ultrasound equipment, acquiring high‑quality images, and documenting findings accurately in the patient record. The role involves collaborating with physicians and clinical staff, explaining procedures to patients, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment. The technologist will also assist with scheduling‑related tasks, equipment checks, and adherence to regulatory and practice guidelines. Qualifications Certification and professional credentials: Candidate should possess applicable credentials such as American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and/or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with relevant sonography or radiology focus. Clinical and technical expertise: Candidate should possess strong skills in Medicine, Radiology, and Vascular ultrasound techniques, including the ability to perform a variety of diagnostic studies safely and accurately. Education and experience: Candidate should possess formal training in diagnostic medical sonography or radiologic technology (e.g., accredited program completion) and prior experience in an outpatient or clinical setting. Patient care and communication: Candidate should possess excellent patient care skills, clear communication abilities, and a professional, respectful approach to individuals of diverse backgrounds.
