Core Responsibilities Migration Planning & Analysis Assess source and target database environments Analyze schemas, data structures, constraints, and dependencies Identify compatibility issues between platforms (e.g., Oracle → SQL Server) Create migration strategy (full migration, phased, incremental, etc.) Data Extraction & Transformation Develop transformation scripts to align data structures Cleanse and normalize data before migration Map legacy fields to new schema designs Migration Execution Perform data transfers using: ETL tools Custom SQL scripts Data pump / export-import utilities Cloud migration tools Monitor migration jobs for errors and performance issues Validation & Testing Reconcile record counts and data integrity Don’t See A Good Fit?
