Operations Specialist

Montana State University is hiring an Operations Specialist. This role involves managing and coordinating event operations staff and equipment, performing setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of operational equipment, assisting with facility and turf operations, and supporting event execution within the Sports Facilities department. Highlights Manage on-site event operations, coordinating staff and equipment during events and daily activities. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment such as basketball floors, seats, bleachers, stages, and vehicles. Assist with Bobcat Stadium facility operations, including turf and ice/snow management. Supervise crews of up to 30 student workers and 35 stagehands, including hiring, training, and scheduling support. Required experience in event and building operations, equipment setup, and customer service. Preferred qualifications include leadership experience, university or athletic facility background, and equipment operation certifications (e.g., forklifts, man-lifts). Must possess a valid driver\'s license and be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and outdoor conditions. Physical demands include lifting up to 100 lbs, operating various vehicles, and working at heights. Compensation is $25.25 per hour with full benefits eligibility. Works within the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse department under Auxiliary Services, supporting Athletics, Rec Sports, and Health and Human Development events. #J-18808-Ljbffr
