Business Operations Manager

Montana State University is hiring a Business Operations Manager. This role leads daily administrative operations, manages front desk activities at the Allen Yarnell Center, supervises student employees, handles budgets and procurement, and collaborates with university partners to maintain efficient service delivery supporting multiple student-facing programs. Highlights Oversee front-line customer service and reception for several student programs within the Allen Yarnell Center. Manage hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of student employees for front office coverage. Coordinate complex scheduling, meetings, and shared space logistics across multiple departments. Serve as primary contact for office systems such as telephone coordination and directory updates. Manage procurement, budget tracking, accounts receivable, and inventory of capital and sensitive equipment. Act as human resources liaison handling hiring, onboarding, payroll, and employee records for staff and students. Plan and support events, including logistics, catering, technology, and multi-department coordination. Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, strong administrative operations background, supervisory experience, and communication skills. Preferred: Knowledge of MSU policies, budget management experience, and familiarity with systems like ChromeRiver, SmartBuy, and Banner.
