Physical Design Engineer

You will be responsible for physical design ownership at block and sub-system levels, including all associated tasks. These include synthesis, floorplanning, placement & routing, CTS, physical verification, and IR/EM analysis and closure. You may also be involved in physical design flow development/automation and identification of library deficiencies in a maturing technology and toolchain. You are expected to be able to work with limited direction, have attention to detail and be enthusiastic and proactive in providing crisp status of progress, issues, and risks on the program to the management team.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Masters in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field with 7+ years of experience
• Deep expertise in most of the following: floorplanning, place & route, CTS, physical verification, STA, EM/IR analysis and closure.
• Ability to learn and contribute outside of defined tasks in a dynamic environment with a maturing technology and toolchain
• Experience in tape-outs of complex ASICs in leading-edge technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PnR experience using Fusion Compiler
• Experience with top-level planning and integration including implementation of pad ring and global power grid
