divh2Financial Analyst/h2pOrganizational Context and Job Purpose:/ppWith LAO manufacturing facilities in Canada and Belgium, INEOS Oligomers is one of the large merchant suppliers of Linear Alpha Olefins (LAO). LAO is used in a variety of industries, with main markets being comonomers for polyethylene, feedstock for production of lubricants, surfactants, lubricant additives, and paper sizing chemicals, and base stock for drilling fluids. PAO is a synthetic lubricant. As part of its growth strategy, INEOS Oligomers invested $500 million in a new world-scale LAO PAO production facility to be located on INEOS Olefins Polymers site in Chocolate Bayou, Alvin, Texas. INEOS Oligomers is hiring a Financial Analyst that will report to the OCB Site Controller. The purpose of the OCB financial analyst is to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, assist in forecasting, and preparation of reports for Site Controller, Site Leadership, and Oligomers business management. This role has frequent interaction and must build relationships within the site and Oligomers business in the Marina View office. It will require active participation in various audit activities, both internal and external. This includes recording and reviewing accruals, overhead costs, utilities, third party service bill-outs, variable costs, etc./liliPosting transactions and monitor operational activity related to capital projects./liliAssist with the consolidation and analysis of the annual site fixed and variable cost budget./liliAssist with month end inventory recordings and mass balance of production and consumption activity, as well as quarterly physical inventory counts and reconciliations of process materials./liliPrepare monthly financial reports that summarize plant variable and fixed cost performance. Perform necessary variance and trend analysis on operating costs, capital spending, working capital investment, etc. to clearly interpret these results for management./liliCreate, manage, and close capital project structures in SAP. Create assets and process project settlements to assets./liliProvide support for various government requests and tax reporting packages./liliSupport management interpretation of financial transactions, events, and INEOS policies for users who must make economic or business decisions./liliMaintain and support INEOS internal control processes and the delegation of authority. This includes regular review of internal control process documents./liliPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on any unresolved balance differences. Gather and provide documentation for external audit requests as required and assist with annual physical inventory observations./liliPrepare monthly sales and use tax reports and assist with annual compliance reporting./liliSupport and follow Oligomers and CB behavioural and process safety practices./li/ulh2Skills Required/h2pLevel of education Experience in general:/pulliBachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience./liliCPA or MBA degree preferred./liliPreference given to candidates with financial experience in a manufacturing environment./liliSuperior Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, are required./liliSAP FI/CO/MM super-user level knowledge (knowledge of other modules also a plus)/liliStrong analytical and problem-solving ability./liliStrong organizational and time management skills/liliAbility to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines./liliSelf-starting individual who can work with a minimum of direction preferred./liliMust have good communication skills and be able to discuss and explain financial transactions and processes in a clear and concise way to individuals across the organization./liliWorking knowledge of financial internal control processes./liliDemonstrated record of gaining trust of leadership in working on sensitive issues./liliTrack record of establishing strong relationship with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization to deliver creative, effective solutions in a difficult and changing business environment./liliExcellent oral and written communication skills in English language./liliStrong planning and organizing skills with an ability to manage several projects simultaneously./liliDemonstrated ability to think strategically and innovatively to uncover new opportunities./liliSuccessful project team leadership experience with at least small multi-functional business teams./liliPossess excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills across all levels and organizational boundaries./li/ulh2Technical Skills/h2ulliDemonstrated expertise with Microsoft Office products EXCEL, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook required.
