Summary The Supply Chain Manager oversees all activities related to purchased materials in support of maintenance, engineering, and operations for an assigned location, including assessment of supply and demand, shipping and receiving, inventory counts and loss management, quality control, and oversight of the Asset Management System. This position ensures all supply chain, warehouse, and material handling activities are conducted in compliance with company safety policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices, promoting a safe and compliant work environment. The role manages Toolroom, Warehouse, Requisition Writers, and Shipping and Receiving teams, ensuring safe work practices, proper training, and accountability across all functions. Essential Functions Oversee inventory management of indirect materials supporting plant maintenance, engineering, and operations to ensure availability, accuracy, and control. Lead procurement, replenishment planning, and supplier performance management to ensure timely, cost-effective material supply. Define, track, and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) including inventory accuracy, service levels, inventory turns, and fulfillment costs. Monitor and optimize inventory levels, usage trends, and demand forecasts to balance service requirements with working capital efficiency. Identify and resolve root causes of inventory discrepancies, losses, and inefficiencies; implement corrective and preventive actions. Establish and manage cycle counting programs and inventory audit routines to maintain accuracy and strengthen internal controls. Direct warehouse operations, including slotting strategies, material flow, and use of WMS/ERP systems to maximize efficiency and traceability. Manage inbound logistics, receiving, and internal distribution to ensure efficient and uninterrupted material flow. Develop and implement supply chain processes, standard operating procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and compliance. Partner with cross-functional leaders and executive management to forecast needs, mitigate supply risks, control costs, and drive strategic decision-making through data-driven insights and reporting. Travel/On-Call Requirements Travel up to 10% to plants/sites in alignment with key projects. Salary This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $108,000 to $138,000. Required Qualifications Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of progressive supply chain, warehouse, or inventory management experience. Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience. Preferred Education & Experiences Experience with ERP/EAM/WMS systems (SAP and EAM preferred). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end supply chain operations, including inventory control, procurement workflows, requisition processing, warehousing, and inbound logistics. Working knowledge of ERP/EAM/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, EAM), inventory controls, financial impacts (working capital, cost-to-serve), and applicable safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including KPI management, root cause analysis, and the ability to drive data-based operational improvements. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and collaborate cross-functionally. Ability to lead and develop teams while managing complex, high-volume operations, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
