Staff Accountant

A growing private investment firm within the energy sector is expanding its accounting team and adding a newly created Staff Accountant position due to continued growth and portfolio activity. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with 2–4 years of experience who enjoys working in a polished, fast-paced environment and wants exposure to both operational accounting and fund-related financial processes. Responsibilities Assist with month‑end and year‑end close activities Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules Handle invoicing, billing support, and expense reporting Reconcile bank and credit card accounts Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting efforts Assist with audit preparation and various accounting projects Work closely with senior leadership and accounting management on ongoing initiatives Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 2–4 years of accounting experience Strong Excel and systems skills Professional communication skills and high attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment Oil & gas, financial services, or public accounting experience is a plus CPA or CPA track preferred Additional experience with tools like Concur, QuickBooks, or other accounting/billing systems is highly valued. #J-18808-Ljbffr MK Search
