Overview

A growing Oilfield Services organization in the Houston area is partnering with LHH to identify a Staff Accountant to join their team on a full-time, onsite basis.

This position offers hands-on experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close , making it an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals or recent graduates looking to build a foundation within corporate finance.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $37.00 - $40.00 per hour
  
• Schedule: Full-time
  
• Work Environment: 100% onsite
  

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries including accruals and allocations
  
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  
• Assist with month-end and year-end close cycles
  
• Maintain fixed asset and prepaid expense schedules
  
• Support CAPEX tracking and reporting activities
  
• Process and reconcile intercompany transactions
  
• Assist with audit support and documentation requests
  
• Partner with internal teams to collect and validate financial data
  
• Analyze expense fluctuations and provide variance explanations
  
• Support allocation of corporate expenses across entities
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  
• 1-2 years of relevant experience OR internship experience
  
• Recent graduates with 2+ accounting internships (including summer internships) are encouraged to apply
  
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, or close processes
  
• Strong Excel skills
  

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to Oracle or similar ERP systems strongly preferred
  
• Experience in energy, oil & gas, or industrial environments is a plus

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Pay Details: $37.00 to $40.00 per hour
