This position is responsible for receiving, identifying, segregating, and documenting material from federal agencies and depot activities. The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of material control processes, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations./ppThis is a contingent position expected to be located in Hawthorne, NV. The pay range for the position will be provided at the time the position is no longer contingent./ph2What Youll Do/h2ulliReceive and verify the identity, completeness, and condition of incoming material and property./liliDocument material data, including stock number, description, dollar value, condition, weight, and quantity./liliResearch available publications (e.g., stock lists, technical orders, GSA catalogs) to accurately classify and describe material./liliSegregate and clearly mark material to prevent mixing; determine reutilization, resale, or scrap value./liliPrepare documentation for material shortages or discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with releasing organizations./liliSupport Scrap Sales operations, including photographing, describing, and documenting material for disposal or resale./liliOperate forklifts, vehicles, and material handling equipment to transport, stow, or load/unload material./liliUse weighing equipment to determine gross or axle weight of incoming and outgoing vehicles./liliMaintain a safe and organized work area, including general housekeeping duties within assigned facilities./liliEnsure compliance with all safety, environmental, and hazardous material handling requirements./liliReport potential safety or environmental concerns to leadership./liliBid and proposal support if requested./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulh2What Were Looking For/h2pRequired Qualifications:/pulliAn active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position./liliMust be able to obtain and maintain Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) clearance./liliMust be able to obtain and maintain a favorable NCIC III background check./liliHigh School Diploma or equivalent required./liliOne (1) years of experience in Property Disposal Operations; OR two (2) years of experience in Munitions Handling functions required./liliValid state drivers license required./liliAbility to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment./liliMust be fluent in speaking and writing the English Language./liliMust possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills./liliDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)./liliStrong attention to detail and organizational skills./liliExcellent verbal and written communication skills./liliDemonstrated problem-solving skills./liliMust possess strong time management skills./liliMust be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment./liliMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future./li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliThe ability to lift items that may weigh up to 50 pounds./liliThe work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, or recurring and considerable walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing such as performing regular shop activities, inspections, or to observe and study operations in an industrial or comparable work area, or on-board ships, submarines, and/or in weapon facilities./liliThe ability to operate heavy machinery and industrial tools with limited to no supervision.
