Overview Metropolitan Companies is seeking a Data Engineer to support our growing data and application environment. This role will serve as a critical bridge between traditional database administration and modern data engineering—supporting data pipelines, integrations, reporting, and database performance. This position is ideal for someone who has a strong foundation in SQL and databases and is looking to grow into data engineering, automation, and analytics. The individual will work closely with developers, business teams, and IT leadership to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and optimized for business use. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with a strong technical background who enjoys working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Responsibilities Support data pipelines and integrations across systems. Assist with reporting and data quality initiatives. Monitor and optimize database performance; collaborate with DBAs and developers. Contribute to automation and data engineering initiatives. Qualifications Strong foundation in SQL and relational databases. Experience with data pipelines, data integration, and data modeling concepts. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate business needs into technical solutions.
