We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician I at our Hollister, CA facility!The RoleAs a Maintenance Technician I, you will be responsible for performing mechanical maintenance and installations for manufacturing, cleanroom, lab, and facilities. These activities include items such as: repair and installation of plant piping systems, repair and installation of packaging/conveyor systems, general utility repairs.This person will also be involved in day-to-day maintenance activities to include completion of work orders, electrical motor change outs, and preventative maintenance tasks. We are guided and united by our Group Purpose of "giving our world more smiles."Job DescriptionKey responsibilities for this role include:Support safety activities at site and active participant in Safety Elements teamTroubleshooting systems and equipment on site for all functionsInstall and repair pumping systems like air diaphragm, centrifugal pumps etc.Install and repair piping systems, including Copper, Stainless Steel, PFA, Cast Iron, etc.Operate forklift, scissor lift and boom liftsOperate and troubleshoot all emergency response systemsTroubleshoot electrical systems and instrumentations as neededComplete preventative maintenance and emergency maintenance activities as assignedSupport all site functions, general facility activities at site and working from blueprints or simple sketchesFollowing safety protocols related to all work activities and attention to detail for filling permits and task listsFollow and complete work in line with policies and proceduresCommunicate clearly by email or in person to all supporting departmentsRequirementsHigh school diploma or GED is required; trade school is preferredMinimum 2 years of experience in working in a manufacturing environment; chemicals or other highly regulated industry in maintenance functionA safety mindset and focus on producing quality productsExperience in installations and repair of piping systems, including copper, stainless steel, PFA and Cast ironExperience in installation and repair of pumping systems, mechanical systems, hand and power toolsElectrical systems knowledge (Understanding low voltages, relays, instrumentation etc.)Electrical NFPA 70E training and instrumentationExperience with Forklift, Scissor lift and Boom liftsFire systems knowledge/experience is a plusGood communications skills; ability to clearly communicate to all levels in organizationAbility to read, interpret and follow written job instructions, schematics and directionsAbility to read and understand safety procedures, including OSHA standards and regulationsBasic computer knowledge and user ability including database systems and other programs and applications used at location, with experience in MS Office SuiteAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and follow through on assignmentsUnderstanding of general business conceptsMust be able to work varying and/or rotating shiftsRequires manual lifting of up to 50 lbs. capable of standing and kneeling for a duration of time.Additional RequirementsWe value a professional, adaptable, and collaborative work environment.
