Responsible for handling employee payroll questions via phone, chat, email, etc. What you'll do Explain and interpret complex payroll information to employees at all levels of the organization Use analytical skills and critical thinking to identify and address potential issues Assist in specialized processing and assigned projects, requiring more detailed knowledge of payroll procedures. Research employee questions and provide resolution, as dictated by company policy Summarize and document details of inquiries for quality assurance and consistency Adapt to changes in requirements, processes and employee contracts to provide the most current, accurate information Assist in special projects and testing of new systems Provide training as needed Communicate all discrepancies to payroll supervisor All you'll need for success Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience 3 years of business experience Five or more years of working in a high volume, customer service environment preferred Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience Familiarity with accounting principles relating to funds disbursements, payroll tax statutory requirements and payment regulations Familiarity with expense reporting and garnishment processing Skills, Licenses & Certifications Ability to demonstrate above average customer service, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision Knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications What you'll get Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
