A per diem pharmacist opportunity is available to cover a medical leave of absence for the month of September at a large assisted living facility with an on-site pharmacy serving residents. This position is ideal for candidates with retail or outpatient pharmacy experience and welcomes new graduates. The facility is located just outside of Milwaukee, offering a supportive environment with a dedicated pharmacy team.

Schedule Options:

• Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, or
• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and review prescriptions accurately
• Perform data entry tasks related to prescription processing
• Conduct final review of scripts before dispensing
• Provide minimal patient counseling as needed
• Handle opening duties when working the 7:30 AM shift
• Manage closing duties when working the 8:30 AM shift
• Collaborate closely with pharmacy technicians during opening and closing hours

Qualifications:

• Active and clean Wisconsin Pharmacist license
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
• Experience with retail or outpatient pharmacy preferred but not required
• Ability to work effectively in a team with 1 full-time pharmacist and 4 technicians per shift

Additional Information:

• The pharmacy uses Rx30 software; training shifts will be provided the week prior to coverage start
• The prescription volume is approximately 20-30 prescriptions per day, with around 500 electronic verifications
• The ideal candidate may be semi-retired or seeking a flexible schedule
• Travelers will be considered only if no local candidate is available
