Job Summary:
Peoria, Illinois Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse position responsible for providing patient care in a general medical unit. The role involves working night shifts on a 12-hour schedule, with responsibilities including monitoring telemetry and collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver quality care in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Illinois license or confirmation that an application has been initiated; active BLS (American Heart Association) certification; minimum of 1 year of medical surgical experience; recent experience in general medical units; strong teamwork and communication skills
• Department: Medical Acute Care Unit | RN Beds: 20 | Patient Ratios: 1:4/5 on day shift, 1:5/6 on night shift
• Additional Notes: Experience in general medicine; bedside telemetry monitoring using Phillips monitors (central station available); no vents required; floating on a rotation basis, with travel RNs prioritized for floating; scrubs provided without a color preference; orientation includes 3 days specific to the unit
• Holidays & Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend; 3 of 6 holidays per year; holiday and floating requirements may depend on staffing needs
• Other: The department is a general medical unit with a focus on teamwork and communication, and a charge nurse present 24/7 who may take on patient assignments during staff shortages
