Position Summary
Supervises a production shift or department, directing team members to safely meet daily production targets and quality standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct production team members on assigned shift/department
- Assign work, monitor progress, and address production issues in real time
- Enforce safety rules and address unsafe conditions or behaviors immediately
- Ensure quality standards are met and non-conformances are reported
- Conduct daily shift start meetings and communicate priorities
- Manage time and attendance, overtime, and shift coverage
- Report daily production results to Production Manager
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
- 4+ years manufacturing experience with 2+ years supervisory experience
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in metal fabrication or heavy manufacturing
- Lean manufacturing training
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Manufacturing plant environment with full shift production floor presence.
