About the Role:
Kumon of Tampa-Palma Ceia, FL is looking for an enthusiastic and math-savvy Kumon Assistant to help students unlock their full academic potential. If you love math and enjoy working with students, we want to hear from you!
- Assist students with Kumon math worksheets and guide them through self-learning exercises
- Grade completed student worksheets accurately and in a timely manner
- Monitor student progress and provide encouragement and positive reinforcement
- Support the center instructor in managing daily center operations
- Communicate student performance observations to the lead instructor
- Maintain an organized, focused, and welcoming classroom environment
- Help students develop independent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- High school math proficiency required; coursework through Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, or higher preferred
- Patient, encouraging, and able to connect with students of varying skill levels
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when grading student work
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent schedule
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
