Project Manager - Construction

Location: Coralville, IA
Salary: $60,000 - $90,000

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial concrete and ground-up construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge of concrete, foundations, structural systems, flatwork, and proven experience managing bids, job costing, and construction schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction planning, including scope development, constructability reviews, and value engineering.
• Manage bidding, subcontractor scopes, and proposal evaluation.
• Develop project schedules and critical path sequencing for ground-up and concrete work.
• Oversee budgets, job costing, change orders, and financial reporting/forecasting.
• Coordinate design and blueprint reviews with engineers, architects, and superintendents for constructability and compliance.
• Direct foundation, structural, and flatwork execution, ensuring quality control and spec adherence.
• Manage subcontractor selection, scheduling, and on-site coordination.
• Enforce site safety programs per OSHA and company policy.
• Serve as primary client/owner point of contact, providing progress updates and resolving issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of project management experience in commercial construction.
• Concrete experience preferred.
• Proven experience with pre-construction, bidding processes, estimating, and job costing tools.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications.
• Technical knowledge of flatwork, foundation systems, and structural concrete construction methods (Preferred).
