Sr. Systems Analyst

Job Title

Analytical problem-solving and logical problem-solving

Solution and system design (including artifact creation to facilitate solution design or business/systems process modeling)

Provide systems analysis support on an Agile team that includes multiple business and technology partners. Collaborate with other Agile teams (Scrum of Scrums, Meta-Scrum) to manage dependencies and scope.

Work with business and technology partners to define the scope of problems/issues, in terms of business and/or system requirements and processes.

Work with Agile team to develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and story maps. Participate in backlog refinement sessions. Translate sophisticated business needs into clear, concrete, requirements/user stories. Research and evaluate alternative solutions. Collaborate with Agile team members to build comprehensive and cohesive solution approaches.

Evaluate design of existing systems to judge their functionality, efficiency, reliability, performance, usage, and maintainability.

The Expertise You Have and the Skills You Bring:

• 10+ years systems analysis experience
• Demonstrable experience working with APIs using SOAP, REST Protocols, JSON Schema, and REST Client tools such as Postman, Insomnia
• Brokerage or Financial Services experience preferred
• Experience with systems development methodologies and formal documentation processes.
• 4+ yrs Agile/Scrum experience
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills including negotiation and influence.
• Technical problem solver, who can work in a fast paced and sophisticated environment
• Solid grasp of the financial services industry, attained through training and application experience.
• Can effectively multi-task, manage issues, and drive to resolution in a timely manner.
• Proactive, detailed, standout colleague who understands how systems applications can provide solutions to business problems and objectives.
• Experience with business/systems process modeling
• Experience with solution/systems design
• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, MS Office Suite of Products
• Solid grasp of SQL queries construction preferred

Location: Hybrid in NH, RI, TX Skills/Responsibilities:

• API/UI development experience (will be using tools to help test them) (Postman, Insomnia, JSON, SOAP, etc.)
• Database/back-end work (SA don't develop the database but help shape and refine it).
