Our challenge

Looking for a strong L3 Platform Support Engineer with deep hands-on experience in SQL, Linux/Unix, AutoSys, and production troubleshooting. Must be comfortable supporting enterprise platforms, investigating complex incidents, working with SCP/SFTP, analyzing logs/files, and supporting Tomcat, Jetty, or WebLogic environments.

They need someone who can troubleshoot independently and drive issues through root cause and resolution. Highly collaborative!

They are looking for a strong, hands-on L3 support person, not simply someone who monitors applications or escalates tickets. The right candidate should be able to dig into SQL, Linux, AutoSys jobs, logs, application servers, and platform issues to identify root causes and drive production problems to resolution.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $90k - $100k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Provide L3 production and platform support for business-critical applications.
• Troubleshoot complex application, platform, batch, and infrastructure-related issues.
• Write and analyze SQL queries, including joins, subqueries, ranking, and complex data validation.
• Support and troubleshoot AutoSys jobs, dependencies, scheduling, and job status issues.
• Perform advanced Linux/Unix troubleshooting, including disk utilization, log/file analysis, file searches, and system commands.
• Manage secure server-to-server file transfers using SCP/SFTP.
• Support applications running on Tomcat, Jetty, and WebLogic environments.
• Investigate production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and drive issues through resolution.
• Partner with development, infrastructure, database, and other support teams to maintain platform stability.

Requirements:

• Strong L3 Production/Platform Support experience
• Advanced SQL skills
• Strong Linux/Unix command-line and troubleshooting experience
• Hands-on AutoSys experience
• Experience with SCP/SFTP and Linux server-to-server file transfers
• Knowledge of Tomcat, Jetty, and/or WebLogic
• Strong incident management and root-cause analysis capabilities
• Ability to troubleshoot independently in a complex enterprise environment
