The Team You Will Be Joining Join the technology team of a national real estate investment and development firm operating across 20 states Become the senior individual contributor responsible for the organization`s enterprise AI and automation platforms Support a company combining institutional scale with local market expertise across 11 regional offices Help advance an enterprise-wide Agentic Workspace and Unified Data Strategy Join at a pivotal stage as the organization moves AI capabilities from pilots into reliable, production-ready solutions What They Offer You The opportunity to own enterprise AI and automation platforms from development through production High visibility across the organization with the ability to influence how teams adopt and use AI Meaningful work building agents and automations that solve real operational challenges Exposure to Microsoft Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Graph and other emerging AI technologies The ability to establish platform standards for security, reliability, governance and performance A senior-level individual contributor role with significant autonomy and end-to-end technical ownership Location and Work Environment Charlotte, NC is the preferred location, with a hybrid schedule at the company`s headquarters Highly qualified remote candidates in the Eastern or Central time zones will also be considered Remote candidates must be able to travel to the Charlotte headquarters as needed, potentially on a quarterly basis The role partners across technical and non-technical teams throughout the organization Why This Role Is Important Serve as the accountable technical owner for the company`s enterprise AI and automation ecosystem Build AI agents, enterprise automations and integrations that can move securely from pilot programs into production Create the business context layer that grounds AI outputs in accurate, current and permission-appropriate information Replace manual handoffs with scalable, observable and reliable workflows Establish guardrails, evaluation frameworks and monitoring to maintain quality and prevent performance drift Strengthen responsible AI operations through access controls, audit logging, data lineage and change management Help employees across the organization understand and responsibly adopt Microsoft Copilot and other AI capabilities The Background That Fits 7+ years of experience building and operating production software or automation systems Strong coding proficiency in Python or a comparable language, including tested, peer-reviewed and version-controlled development Hands-on experience with large language models, RAG, agent orchestration, tool and function calling, prompt engineering and structured outputs Proven ownership of live production systems, including CI/CD, releases, monitoring, rollback, incident response and root-cause remediation Strong integration engineering experience across REST APIs, MCPs, webhooks, authentication, retry logic and troubleshooting Experience developing evaluation frameworks for non-deterministic AI systems and measuring quality, accuracy and regression Working knowledge of cloud, identity and security fundamentals, with Microsoft Azure experience strongly preferred Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, AWS or multi-cloud environments is a strong plus #LI-HW1 AccruePartners
