Creative Social Strategist

Role: Creative Strategist, Paid & Organic Social Location: New York, NY | Los Angeles, CA Hybrid/On-site/Remote: Hybrid (Must be located in NY or LA) Clutch is looking for a culturally attuned, data-minded Creative Strategist for a client of ours. We need an innovative thinker who lives at the intersection of modern culture, thumb-stopping content, and performance marketing, translating overarching brand goals into native creative direction across social ecosystems. Responsibilities: Social-First Strategy: Design and architect creative strategies for comprehensive campaigns spanning both organic and paid social channels. Content Frameworks: Transform brand positioning into scalable, platform-native content systems and repeatable narratives rather than isolated posts. Brief Development & Storytelling: Write compelling copy, strategic hooks, scripts, and granular creator briefs that guide production from concept to execution. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with design, video production, influencer marketing, and media buying teams to bring integrated concepts to life. Performance Analytics: Review live campaign performance data, extract actionable takeaways, and iteratively refine creative direction to maximize ROI. Trend Spotting & Ideation: Keep a constant pulse on cultural movements, shifting platform algorithms, and emerging trends, leading brainstorming sessions and presenting visionary ideas directly to clients. New Business Impact: Fuel agency growth by contributing sharp strategic insights and big-picture concepts to pitch decks and prospective client presentations. Qualifications: 3 to 6 years of professional experience specializing in creative strategy, social strategy, or digital content strategy (agency background strongly preferred). Demonstrated fluency in the mechanics and culture of short-form video ecosystems, including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Proven experience collaborating with creators and managing influencer-driven content campaigns. Exceptional copywriting capabilities, with a portfolio of sharp hooks, scripts, and strategic points of view. A rare balance of creative storytelling flair and rigorous performance-marketing intuition. Background working within lifestyle, fashion, beauty, or CPG brand portfolios is considered a strong plus.
