Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include: The Engineering Organization is looking for entry level engineers to develop conventional solutions to technical task objectives within various SRNS facility engineering organizations. Engineers will: Learn SRNS and specific Department/Facility systems and requirements for accomplishing tasks. Assist more senior technical personnel in performing related activities in more complex tasks. Perform the following tasks relative to specific facility operations:
• Discipline specific ownership and maintenance of the
following types of systems among others:
- Nuclear Chemical and Industrial Unit Operations
- Industrial Mechanical systems (Nuclear and Non-nuclear
HVAC, Rotating Equipment)
- Instrumentation and Control Systems
- Utilities (Power Distribution, Steam, Water Compressed
Gases)
- Civil/Structural (Buildings, Roads, Bridges, Dams)
- Fire Protection Systems
• Specific day to day tasks may include:
- Work directly with operations and maintenance personnel to maintain system operability
- System Configuration Control to include minor design
development, component replacement, facility
walkdowns, drawing reviews/updates, procedure
development/review/approval, preventive maintenance
identification
- Usage of Federal/National Codes and Standards
- Work package/system maintenance review and
approval
- Work with Design or Project Management organizations
on large scale designs and projects Operational Technology Engineering is looking for Engineers with interest in Process Systems, Process Controls, Web App Development, and Simulation & Modeling Recent college graduates will initially be placed in the Engineering Leadership Development Program (ELDP). They will receive one-on-one career development assistance from seasoned professionals from different backgrounds and will be collocated with other new hires allowing for peer group connection. They will begin their technical training as well as be given project assignments that will provide them with exposure to different facilities and site work processes. Required Qualifications P1: • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or relevant field
• Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered
• Degree must be obtained within one year of posting
P2: • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or relevant field plus at least two years of experience (YOE) in a relevant role, OR Master's degree in relevant field

• May provide guidance to others as a project manager using technical expertise Career Level Description P1: Entry level, performing routine tasks with either close supervision or under clearly defined procedures.
P2: Requires a working knowledge and experience in own field, while building knowledge of the company and customers, under a moderate level of guidance and direction. Job Family Description Engineering roles perform engineering work in operations, production, construction, or maintenance environments. They may design and scale up manufacturing processes, instruments and equipment and tests manufactured products to maintain quality. They may plan, design, and estimate time and cost and oversees construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, systems, and components. They analyze and develop solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures. They develop and apply engineering standards and procedures and provide advice on issues within the engineering field. Note for Salary This is the range within which SRNS expects the majority of qualified candidates would enter this role if offered.
