Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician and ensure the smooth operation of our plant during the 2nd shift. This role requires commitment to 12-hour shifts starting between 4pm and 6pm, including weekends. Your expertise will be pivotal in maintaining and repairing plant equipment, ensuring optimal functionality at all times.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs on pumps, valves, and heat exchangers.

• Conduct electrical repairs on motors and motor starters, including running conduit and pulling wires for new installations.

• Execute building repairs and cleaning tasks.

• Adjust controls on control panels to manage process variables like flows, temperatures, and pressures.

• Diagnose malfunctioning units using control instruments and automatic warning signals.

• Inspect equipment to identify malfunctions such as leaks and faulty valves.

• Communicate with production staff to coordinate maintenance and repair work.

• Patrol units to verify safe and efficient operating conditions.

• Perform preventive maintenance activities as required.

• Assist in new installations and projects as directed by the supervisor.

• Collaborate with contractors for planning and implementing new equipment or systems.

• Participate in safety, health, and environmental programs.

• Ensure compliance with city, county, state, and federal regulations.

• Engage in programs and procedures to maintain plant cleanliness.

• Be available for overtime work as needed.

• Complete other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Experience in welding (MIG, Stick, ARC).

• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and repair techniques.

• Familiarity with industrial equipment such as screw conveyors, drag conveyors, and bucket elevators.

• Experience in maintaining boilers and steam systems.

• Understanding of gearboxes and electrical systems (including 480-volt systems).

• Basic mobile equipment maintenance skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with light electrical work.

• Ability to work with industrial electrical systems is a plus.

Work Environment

You will be working in a Feed/Grain Manufacturing Facility, which requires adherence to safety and cleanliness protocols. The role involves working in various environmental conditions, with appropriate safety gear provided as needed. The dress code is geared towards functionality and safety during maintenance tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Goshen, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.

It is a dp position so they have internal benefits they will discuss during the interview
