This position involves managing the distribution and accurate charging of medical supplies, including Durable Medical Equipment (DME), ensuring smooth operations across various hospital areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update inventory records for Central Service and floor stock supplies.
• Conduct physical inventory counts regularly to verify and correct stock discrepancies.
• Unpack and stock supplies daily as they arrive in the Central Service department.
• Ensure adequate supply levels on all nursing floors by performing routine inventory checks.
• Process patient charges promptly and accurately within designated timeframes.
• Deliver, return, clean, and maintain DME as requested throughout the day.
• Manage crash cart stock by rotating items to prevent expiration, restocking used supplies, and charging accordingly.

Education

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.

Requirements

• Ability to handle moderate stress and maintain focus during busy periods.
• Visual acuity sufficient for reading delivery tickets, labels, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Physical capability to stoop, bend, and transport carts and medical equipment for at least half of the shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.

Working Conditions

This role is primarily performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled environment with generally low noise levels.
