Job description:

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the culinary team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
• Develop innovative menus that reflect current trends while maintaining the establishment's unique identity.
• Oversee food preparation processes to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
• Implement and maintain food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations.
• Manage inventory and ordering of kitchen supplies to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborate with front-of-house management to create a cohesive dining experience for guests.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering professional development and teamwork.
• Monitor kitchen performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary.
• Ensure that all culinary activities align with the overall vision of the establishment.

 

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a culinary or food service management role within a senior living community, restaurant or fine dining environment.
• Strong knowledge of food management principles, including menu development, cost control, and inventory management.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• In-depth understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Experience in shift management, ensuring efficient operation during peak service times.
• A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
