Location and Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant Teacher J Los Angeles 5870 West Olympic Boulevard Los Angeles, CA 90036 Principal Responsibilities: J Los Angeles is looking for energetic, open-minded assistant teachers to help foster curiosity, exploration, and respect with young children. Responsibilities and Duties: Interacting and connecting with children, families, and J Los Angeles partners in ways that support strong relationships, respect, and collaboration. Working in a team to maintain a healthy, safe, and engaging classroom environment, develop curriculum and care for a group of 12-18 preschoolers. Supporting a rich play-based curriculum based in Judaic values and traditions and a strong view of children as learners and thinkers. Approaching conflicts as opportunities to learn and coaching children to be problem solvers. Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of 12 ECE units. At least 1 year of experience working with young children in a school or center setting. Excellent communication skills. Willingness to work collaboratively and problem solve. Ability to be self-directed, manage time and complete projects. Open to learning, ability to self-reflect regularly, able to meet the physical demands of the position (i.e., care for active young children, repetitive bending and lifting). Current pediatric CPR/First Aid certification (must be willing to obtain).
