Step into a rewarding opportunity to support students across K-8th grade by providing essential occupational therapy services for the upcoming school year. This full-time, contract role runs approximately from July 29th through May 26th and is based near Tempe, AZ. Your expertise will make a direct impact on children’s academic and personal growth as you collaborate with educators and families in a dynamic school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in Arizona
- Previous experience in schools, home health, or healthcare settings as an OT is highly valued
- Strong understanding of providing therapy to K-8 students
- Ability to assess and address a variety of developmental, sensory, and physical needs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain clear and timely documentation of sessions and outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
- Adapt interventions to accommodate diverse learning and physical needs
