Medical Assistant Position

Professional Type: Allied Health Professional Specialty: Medical Assistant Contract Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 Weeks) | Temp-to-Hire Opportunity Shift: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM | 40 Hours/Week Hourly Rate: $20.00 – $25.00/hr

Assignment Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Medical Assistant for a 13-week long-term assignment with the potential for permanent hire. This role is ideal for local candidates only —must reside within 45 minutes of the clinic. The position offers a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced outpatient clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in an ambulatory or clinical setting
• Assist with patient intake, vital signs, clinical documentation, and general administrative support
• Utilize Epic EMR system for accurate and timely record-keeping
• Maintain workflow in a busy medical office environment

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a clinical or ambulatory care setting (required)

• One of the following is required:

  • Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program

  • Active CT CNA, EMT, or Paramedic Certification (preferred)

  • In lieu of education , at least 2 years of direct patient care experience in acute or ambulatory care

• Experience with Epic EMR (preferred)

• Prior experience in a high-volume medical office (preferred)
