Benefit from significant bonus compensation and professional growth opportunities.Job DescriptionFund Accountant OverviewAs a Fund Accountant, you will oversee fund accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance within a dynamic financial services environment.Collaborate directly with executive leadership, gaining visibility across fund operations and strategic decision-making processes.Contribute to building and enhancing a growing platform business supported by institutional backing and innovative practices.Engage in month-end close processes, regulatory filings, and financial statement preparation to ensure timely reporting.Support onboarding initiatives and operational improvements to streamline fund accounting workflows.Participate in automating processes and enhancing internal controls for operational efficiency and compliance.Prepare audit documentation and assist in accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and transparency.Work within a collaborative team environment, contributing to organizational goals and growth opportunities.Fund Accountant Key Responsibilities & DutiesLead month-end close processes, ensuring timely and precise completion of all tasks.Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts, maintaining accurate financial records.Calculate subadvisor management and incentive fees, ensuring compliance with agreements.Perform shadow accounting to reconcile internal reporting with fund administrator records.Prepare and review wire transfers, reconciling cash activity across various accounts.Review investor accounting schedules for proper allocation and fee application.Evaluate and maintain internal controls, ensuring adherence to financial standards.Assist in preparing audit documentation and manager statements, supporting compliance efforts.Fund Accountant Job RequirementsBachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting or related field required.Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, preferably within financial services.Strong knowledge of US GAAP standards and financial regulations essential.Proficiency in automating processes and implementing improved workflows preferred.Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage competing deadlines.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to achieving objectives.Desire to contribute to a growing platform business with institutional backing.
