We let our personalities shine, and we like to have fun.The Marquesa Hotel is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead the property's engineering and maintenance operations. This position is responsible for maintaining the hotel's facilities, equipment, and life-safety systems while ensuring repairs and preventative maintenance are completed promptly and with minimal impact on the guest experience.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee the Engineering team, including hiring, training, scheduling, payroll, and performance.Manage the maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, kitchen and laundry equipment, and general building systems.Develop, implement, and track preventative maintenance programs for guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and hotel equipment.Ensure maintenance requests and repairs are completed promptly, accurately, and to hotel standards.Oversee capital projects, renovations, contractors, and vendors while monitoring project timelines, quality, and budgets.Manage departmental purchasing, inventory, budgeting, forecasting, and expenses.Ensure emergency and life-safety equipment and systems are properly inspected, tested, maintained, and certified.Conduct property and fire-safety inspections and ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal requirements.Participate in monthly HAT meetings, safety walks, incident investigations, and property loss prevention efforts.Partner with the General Manager and hotel leadership on short- and long-term property maintenance and improvement plans.Respond to engineering-related guest concerns professionally and support timely resolution of property or safety-related issues.Additional duties as assignedWe've got you covered…Health Benefits Package-Medical/Dental/Vision/Employee Assistance Program offering support when you need it mostSupplemental benefits to select such as Short-Term disability, Life Insurance, AD&D and Pet Insurance401K plan with matchingOn demand pay- your pay before paydayPaid Holidays/Personal/Vacation/Sick timeTeam Member/Family/Friend home and restaurant discounts within Noble House Hotels & Resorts (nationwide)Career growth opportunities and Recognition ProgramsNationwide team member discount program for theme parks (including Disney, Six Flags, Universal Studios, and more!) discounted MLB, NHL, NFL, concert tickets, and much more.Certain benefits apply only to full time employment status and introductory eligibility period appliesSounds like you? We are committed to building a team (rooted in family) and a workplace where we are all able to be successful based solely on our individual qualifications, experience, abilities and job performance.RequirementsQualifications5–10 years of facilities maintenance or engineering experience, preferably in hospitality or property management.Minimum 3 years of engineering/facilities management or leadership experience.Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general building maintenance.Project management and renovation experience preferred.Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and computer skills.Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods and regularly bend, squat, and perform physical maintenance-related activities.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.Ability to work extended or flexible hours as business and emergency needs require.
