Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to perform comprehensive maintenance, detailed diagnostics, and complex mechanical and electrical repairs on light duty diesel pickup trucks. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of modern diesel engine systems, advanced troubleshooting abilities, and a strong commitment to quality.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using computerized testing equipment and precision measuring tools.
• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) inspections and service on trucks to optimize performance and prevent unexpected downtime.
• Repair major components, including engines, transmissions, fuel systems, and emissions control systems.
• Conduct specialized repairs on brake systems, steering, and suspension systems in compliance with DOT and company standards.
• Document all maintenance and repair actions accurately and legibly on work orders and service records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all safety and environmental regulations.
• Continuously pursue training to stay current with evolving diesel technology, diagnostic software, and repair techniques.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED is required; completion of an accredited diesel technology program is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of two years of hands on experience as a Diesel Technician or Heavy Equipment Mechanic. More experience is preferred
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical service manuals.
• Demonstrated expertise in the diagnosis and repair of electronic control modules and complex vehicle electrical systems.
• Familiarity with maintenance management software and computerized diagnostic platforms.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license; a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus.
• Automotive certifications are considered a significant advantage, but not required.
• Must value a clean and professional workspace.
