Make a meaningful difference supporting students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. This opportunity, set within a vibrant school environment near Saint Johns, FL, offers a rewarding role for professionals dedicated to helping children achieve their communication and learning goals.
The ideal candidate brings energy, compassion, and a strong understanding of speech and language therapy tailored for school-age learners. You'll collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to ensure every student receives the highest quality of care.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as an SLP
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Previous experience in school settings is a plus
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ speech, language, and communication abilities using standardized tools and observations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students’ unique needs
- Provide direct therapy sessions, both individual and group, to support language, articulation, fluency, and social communication
- Consult with teachers, support staff, and families to develop strategies that facilitate classroom success
- Complete required documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
- Track progress and adjust interventions as needed for optimal outcomes
