RECEPTIONIST (FULL TIME) – Compass Group, San Diego, CA. Location: Qualcomm School District Admin – 5775 Morehouse Drive, San Diego, CA 92121. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour. Sign‑on bonus: $500 after 90 days of employment. Job Summary As a Receptionist, you are the first impression for all guests and visitors. You will operate the switchboard and serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring a welcoming, secure, and professional environment. Responsibilities Properly greet and assist visitors with a smile, maintaining eye contact throughout the interaction and addressing guests by name whenever possible. Answer telephone calls in a friendly, professional manner, take accurate messages, and forward questions or requests appropriately. Handle on‑floor conference‑room activities, including reservations, monitoring meeting start/end times, attending to attendees, and coordinating food and beverage orders. Execute security protocols for arriving and departing visitors, contractors, delivery personnel, and others. Serve as a Hospitality Services resource for guests and employees, providing way‑finding and information about building amenities, transportation, and community services. Coordinate car‑service requests for visitors and staff. Communicate service requests to the appropriate internal departments such as building maintenance, IT, AV technology, and mail room. Perform any other duties as assigned. Qualifications Two to three years of experience in a client‑service or reception role within a hospitality or corporate environment. Strong computer skills and knowledge of office technology/equipment.
